There is a strong relationship between obesity and cardiovascular diseases like essential hypertension, ischaemic heart diseases, hypercholesterolemia and stroke in both sexes. The serious thing is that obesity in adolescents predisposes to coronary heart diseases and stroke in
middle aged men.
