Home-made Recipes for Brite White Teeth

When our teeth are not so brite white, then they have plaque covering. According to dentistry.leeds.ac.uk: "plaque is a microbial community; disease results from the outcome of the interactions among all of the component species. Prevention would be by plaque control".
"The repeated intake of fermentable sugar in the diet produces frequent conditions of low pH in plaque which inhibits the growth of many of the species associated with dental health, and selects for the highly acidogenic (acid-producing) and aciduric (“acid-loving") species, such as mutans streptococci and lactobacilli, associated with dental caries." www.dentistry.leeds.ac.uk

Thus, plaque is microbial in nature and its growth depends on the local environment, such as acidity (pH), and Redox potential (Eh). The plaques are not brite white in nature. To control plaque, we either;
1- Remove plaques mechanically through tooth brushing, or
2- Change their surrounding environment, and the easy way is to change pH, which influences Eh as a consequence of selective microbial growth.
Raising the pH values can be easily attained by implementing an alkali. Examples of household alkalis are baking soda and bicarbonate of Sodium. Table salt is neutral yet it can form alkaline salts of the available organic acids, and these salts are readily soluble in water.

Today, I am describing some homemade recipes that can lead to brite white teeth. They involve either one or both of the mentioned ways of controlling plaque.
To prepare them you have to consider the following procedure:
1- Make solids into powder form, and wet materials into paste
2- Use water or better glycerin for its presevative properties (if you make a stock you need to add 25% glycerin to preserve)
3- Mix any with your regular tooth paste in equal amounts for ease of preparation, otherwise you can use them alone

Here are your homemade recipes for brite white teeth:
1- Charcoal is ground into fine powder and mixed with table salt ( You can burn some toast to obtain charcoal). Mix this mixture with your tooth paste, or wet your brush and get some powder in it.
2- Mix honey with your tooth paste
3- Mix Charcoal with some Lemon juice
4- Mix dried Lemon peel with bicarbonate of soda and table salt
5- Sage leaves are pasted with table salt ( you can dry it in the oven and keep it in powder form)
6- Mix Cinnamon powder with honey
7- Mix table salt with your tooth paste

To make it more mouth refreshing, you can add any of these herbs or their essential oils:
Parsley - Lavander - Majoram - Anise - Thyme - Melissa - Peppermint - Rose.

Use them regularly and enjoy brite white teeth.

Natural Quick Burn healing

The Claim: Honey Can Soothe a Burn - New York Times

We can make it even easier and faster by mixing honey with vaseline, to add the benefits of vaseline which is already applied in dressings and gauzes used to treat burns.
Vaseline has the following features:
1- It insulates the skin from the surrounding environment
2- It keeps the skin moisture intact by preventing evaporation
3- It has soothing and emollient effects
4- It reduces the sticky properties of honey

Mix equal portions of honey and vaseline and apply them them on the small burns.

Milk or Honey is Better for Our Therapy?

Medicine From Milk: Gene Therapy Transforms Goats Into Pharmaceutical Factories

In the above mentioned link news, researchers have used gene therapy to reduce the costs of producing therapeutic proteins, such as insulin, by reducing the time and costs it takes to breed animals capable of producing such proteins.

When we look at other foods that bear health benefits that may be utilized in a comparative way, honey comes first to our minds. Honey is a nutritional syrup that has a vast variety of health benefits that were known for thousands of years, and now it has been recognized by the peoples of the developed countries.

Even better, honey can be utilized as a vehicle of high health value, of other natural ingrdients that add more health benefits, and both can be used as is without industrial processing.

Researchers from the former Soviet Union, tried adding some nutritional supplements to the feed of honey bee, 30-40 years ago with good positive effects. They added fruits, vegetables, milk or its fats, egg yolk, and yeast. They added some plant extracts, like Gentian, Carrots and Beet. Moreover, they added synthetic vitamins, antiseptics, and antibiotics. They had found that adding these additives to the feed of bees (sugar), produced positive effects on both the bees and their produced honey.

Examples of the effects of the additives on the bees:
1- Gentian fed bees were found to increase ovulation, and consequently bees population.
2- Antibiotics fed bees were found to increase honey production (isn't that true in livestock animals and poultry?)

Examples of the effects of additives on the produced honey:
1- There are large changes in physical properties like color, odor, and condition (honey may solidifies), as well as taste.
2- Its content of vitamins has largely increased, e.g. Carrots fed bees produced honey with a high content of vitamin A, not to ignore the vitamins fed bees.

Finally, the new research is about goat genes and production of milk, yet milk is the vehicle in which the therapeutic agents are produced. Why don't we put honey on the map of research, so that we get its health benefits together with other natural ingredients, and both are used without industrial processing?

The solution of OTC Cold Drugs that are Neither Safe Nor Effective in Kids Under 2

FDA warns against cold drugs for kids under 2, read the full story:
FDA: Cold meds too risky for little ones - Kids and parenting- msnbc.com

Would we leave our kids sniffing and coughing?. Certainly not, and it is ievitable that we search something alternative. Today we use a very old and successful remedy to treat cold and cough, i.e. honey and lemon, but the right way.

For hundreds of years, the best way to use Lemon to cure cough was to boil the INTACT Lemon in water before squeezing it, and no body knew why. In view of the recent findings, the cause may be that boiling the Lemon kills enzymes present in its rind ( enzyme denaturation), these enzymes may change some ingredients of the Lemon juice, consequently we should keep the juice to be boiled INSIDE the Lemon.

The procedure to prepare the best natural cure of cough is as follows:
1- Fill a can with water and put a middle or big sized Lemon
2- Leave the can to boil for about 10-15 minutes till it bocomes soft but intact
3- Take the Lemon and squeeze it to extract its juice
4- Clarify the juice or filter it
5- Add the juice to 1/2 cup of honey ( or about 60 ml)
6- Some people - including me- add 30 ml ( 2 tablespoonful ) glycerin to the Lemon juice before adding honey
7- Add 1 teaspoon Pantothenic acid powder ( 100% pure calcium pantothenate )*, to the mixture which is now about 100 ml. Pantothenic acid activates the suprarenal gland to secrete Adrenaline (Epinephrin) and Nor-Adrenaline which are crucial in relieving respiratory system complaints.

* Type in Pantothenic acid powder ( you may use the search box of eVitamins on the left). If you prefer to use standardized supplement, search for a liquid vitamin that contains at least 50 mg Pantothenic acid or Calcium Pantothrnate per serving, this dose is used in some European cough products.

Give the kid 1 teaspoonful 3 times a day.

It is guranteed that this mixture cures your kids cough, I have tried it.

Honey Easily Kills Hospital Resistant Strains of Bacteria

Hospital resistant strains of bacteria is the basis of antibiotic industry, were no
resistance to antibiotics -especially in hospitals- there would be no need for antibiotics other than early antibiotics like Penicillin, Tetracycline, Chloramphenicol to kill bacteria or to fight it.

In hospitals, different antibiotics are used for different conditions and patients, and this result in an inside atmosphere of hospitals that contains traces of antibiotics used, these traces are not sufficient to kill bacteria or stop its growth, giving them the chance to develop a defence mechanism against these antibiotics through genetic mutation, which produce new bacterial strains that are resistant to the relevant antibiotic, then they are widely spread.

Among these strains are Staphylococcus aureus -the most common wound-infecting species of bacteria, and the antibiotic resistant strain Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus ( MERSA or MRSA), have been shown to be the most sensitive species to honey.

Honey for All wounds

Can honey be used for all wounds? the fact is that honey can be used for all types of wounds, as was revealed by repeated research in the last period.

Honey impregnated cotton gauze to heal all wounds was used by the ancient Egyptians since thousands of years. They put the gauze over the wounds for 4 days needed to heal the wound.

Use of honey to heal all wound types was common to all nations over different ages. They described its use for different types of wounds, either alone or combined with other foods or herbs. In the early 20Th century, researchers started to document honey wound-healing properties, yet introduction of antibiotics temporarily halted its use.

Researchers still not attribute exactly the wound-healing properties of honey to a specified effect. They sometimes attribute them to the osmotic properties of honey, other times they attribute them to its content of a certain constituent like, organic acids, alkali's, minerals, trace elements, or hydrogen peroxide.

Regardless the mechanism by which honey heal wounds, it can be used to heal nearly all types of wounds like:

Artificial Sweeteners Raises Blood Sugar The Same Way

University of Liver pool- Press Room

Researchers at the university of Liverpool-UK- found that the sweet taste receptors are present also in the intestine and not only in the tongue.

Dietary sugars absorption is documented to be by a protein - sugar portal or gateway- the activity of which is regulated by the sugar content of foods. In an unknown way, the intestine senses how sweet is the food and consequently opens the sugar gates leading to increased absorption of dietary sugars.

Professor Soraya shirazi-Beechy from the faculty of veterinary Science-Liverpool university- said "Surprisingly we found that the sweet taste receptor was able to to detect artificial sweeteners in foods and drinks resulting in increased capacity of the intestine to absorb dietary sugars, which would explain why these sweeteners are unsuccessful at helping people lose weight.

She added “We are now researching mechanisms in which these receptors can be adjusted to benefit those with diet-related disorders. Diabetes for example, is where the body’s blood sugar level is higher than normal; if we could use the taste receptor like a dimmer switch we could set it so that the appropriate amount of sugar is absorbed in the body.

Jockeys can directly benefit from this discovery - although many of them know it traditionally- and give the race horses dietary supplements before and during the race, so that increased absorption of glucose can offer the high glucose levels horses need in long races.

Diabetics and obese people have to wait until the mechanisms in which these receptors can be adjusted to benefit them, when they can be used to control the amount of sugar that is absorbed.

Finally I am obsessed about a question that is not answered, if all the sweeteners we know will lead to the the same result, why don't we take advantage of the healthy properties of honey and use it as a sweetener?

Yogurt and Honey Recipe to alleviate Constipation and Diarrhea

Yogurt, keffir, and butter milk are the richest foods with probiotics.
Probiotics-according to Wikipedia- are live microorganisms which when administered in adequate amounts confer a health benefit on the host.
The two most abundant friendly bacteria found in gastrointestinal tract are L.acidophylus and Bifidobacterium bifidum.

Researchers from the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam, states that
probiotics friendly bacteria with known benefits for intestinal health, may boost the number of bowel movements and relieve constipation. Based on the result of a pilot study investigated the potential of a probiotic mixture to alleviate the symptoms associated with childhood constipation- a condition that can affect 30 % of children in the Western World.

Another recent study by researchers from Imperial College,London, reported a 22 % drop in the number of cases of diarrhea if probiotics drink, were consumed by hospital- bound elderly patients receiving antibiotics.

There were some other trials some of which were published in The Lancet
about successful use of honey to treat diarrhea in children.

Here is a recipe that gathers the benefits of Yogurt, honey, and fruits

Honey Recipe to Lower Cholesterol

Research on the benefits of honey for health is proceeding in all directions. Today we discuss its effect on lowering cholesterol, as well as the effect of another ingredient in the recipe -Almond- on LDL-Cholesterol or (bad cholesterol).

Researchers from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign found that drinking four tablespoons of honey mixed into a 16-ounce glass of water improved the antioxidant levels in the blood of 25 men aged 18-68.The trial was over 5 weeks. Dr Nicki Engeseth, who led the study which was presented to the American Chemical Society, said: "It looks like honey is having a mild protective effect."

It was already known that honey contained varying levels of antioxidants, with dark honey having more than light. But this is the first study to examine honey's effect on human blood.

In a second study, published in Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association, Canadian researchers showed eating almonds lowered cholesterol levels, reducing the risk of heart disease. They found that eating 74 grams daily for 1 month lowered the low-density lipoproteins (LDL or "bad" cholesterol) of Twenty-seven men and women with an average age of 64 and high cholesterol, by 9.4%.

Alice Lichtenstein, vice-chair of the American Heart Association's nutrition committee, said: "This study suggests that replacing carbohydrates with monounsaturated fat - within the context of a diet that is low in saturated, trans fat and cholesterol - favourably affects cholesterol levels and cardiovascular risk."

I found this recipe which fulfil the requirements of a healthy eating aimed at lowering cholesterol through its content of honey and almond and their effect on the cardiovascular system, cinnamon and its blood glucose lowering effect, together with fibers in orange. I hope you enjoy this recipe taste as well as its health benefits.

Honey, Pollen, and Propolis can Relieve Your Allergy

If you have runny nose, watery eyes, congestion, frequent sneezing, itchy eyes, nose, roof of mouth or throat- swollen blue-colored skin under the eyes(allergic shiners), cough, or facial pressure and pain, and all these symptoms without pyrexia then you have hay fever which may also cause sleeplessness, fatigue, and irritability.

If you are male, being the the firstborn child during pollen season and/or have a family history of allergies then you are at increased risk of developing hay fever.

Your doctor may prescribe medications to decrease your signs and symptoms including nasal corticosteroids, antihistamines, decongestants, Cromolyn sodium (to prevent release of histamine), leukotriene blocker(Singulair), and nasal atropine ( to alleviate runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes but not when they got glaucoma).

If those medications don't relieve the hay fever symptoms, the physician may recommend allergy shots (IMMUNOTHERAPY OR DESENSITIZATION therapy). Over a period of two to five years, you receive regular injections containing purified allergen extracts. The goal is to desensitize you to specific allergens, reduce your signs and symptoms, and decrease your need for medications.

Immunotherapy may be especially effective if you're allergic to cat dander, dust mites, or pollen produced by trees, grass and weeds. In children, immunotherapy may help prevent the development of asthma. Rarely, immunotherapy injections can cause a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), and this is why this technique should be performed in a hospital situation.

As we have seen the major cause of hay fever is the pollen, consequently if you introduce them in a tolerable way to the body, so that the body gets used to them and does not get upset when exposed to them as it becomes desensitized to them.

Honey, Pollen Grains, and Propolis can relieve your allergy:
1- HONEY:
*A teaspoonful of locally sourced honey ( produced in your local area). It is very important that this honey is not filtered to keep all its content of pollen grains.
* Honey can br mixed with Cabbage juice and applied locally for skin allergies.

2- POLLEN GRAINS :
Taken Oollen pillsfrom around March until August gives % 99 relief from hay fever.
There are many brands of pollen grain pills but it is of crucial importance that the pollen is collected from different geographic areas so that it may contain the specific allergen that your body reacts to.

3- PROPOLIS :
1/4 gram propolis dry extract capsules were given 7-8 times daily for 8 days produced good results in France. A smaller dose is given for 2 successive years to get rid of hay fever.

Foods for Sex

Man always seeks out any thing that can improve his sex performing ability. He had tried an endless number of recipes composed of all and every thing that can be eaten, until he found something that made him face the situation of declined ability before the Viagra era.

When we revise these recipes in view of the scientific findings, we find the following remarks :
1- Many of these recipes have high content of cholesterol, the starting material of steroid hormones (corticosteroids & sex hormones) and both are required for a normal sex performance, specially when declined.

2- Honey is added to almost all recipes. Honey is a good source of minerals and trace elements, some of which are required for optimal activity of many enzymes. When present in sufficient amounts it is a preservative.

3- These recipes imparted its characteristics on the nutritional life style of some people for generations. People ignored what cholesterol is and what risk it represents for heart health, as well as they ignored the effects of Garlic, Onions, and Nuts in these recipes on lowering blood cholesterol and minimizing its risks.

4- Many of these recipes contain ingredients that some of them have negative, and others have positive nutritional values, and we don't know whether they are neutral to health or not without clinical trials made on them when they are present in combination.

5- The effect of these recipes is not typically the same for all people depending on individual variations in genetics and nutrition.

6- Whether you use these recipes or not is up to you to decide, in the same way you decide to eat or not Shrimps, Oyester and Lobster and all are of high cholesterol content. The good news is that the doses are not as big as when used as meals, moreover, there are numerous recipes for you to chose the most appropriate ones, and many recipes are of good health benefits.

7- Dairy, Nuts, Seeds, and Garlic are rich sources of L-Arginine. L- Arginine is an amino acid that acts as the starting material for producing Nitric Oxide (NO) the end product of the nerve impulse which is the target of pharmacological action of Viagra.

8- Some of these recipes may have unusual taste, you can find Garlic mixed with honey, and Onions mixed with egg yolk, and you can customize their taste to be more palatable and convenient. I think adding some foods having strong taste like Cloves or Cinnamon may not change their effects that much.

The RECIPES :
Milk :
# Cow milk 2 pounds + Ginger powder 100 grams :
Gently heat until the consistency becomes thick (like honey).
Take 1 teaspoonful in the morning before breakfast.

# Cow or Goat milk 1 pound + Garlic paste 50 grams + Butter(molten) 50 g+ Honey 1 pound:
Gently heat all the ingredients except honey which is added finally when the ingredients are thick. Take 1 TBS in the morning.
This is the most potent known aphrodisiac recipe.

Onions :
# Onion juice 100 ml + Cress juice 100 ml + Butter 50 g + Honey 1 pound :
Mix all ingredients and gently heat until the mixture regains the consistency of honey. Take 1 tbs in the morning. This recipe is of utmost activity as aphrodisiac.

# Onion juice 100 ml + Honey 1 pound :
Gently heat until the mixture regains the consistency of honey.Take 1 TBS daily. Taken for 15 days, this mixture is said to lower blood pressure (certainly it does not replace conventional medication).

# Egg yolk + chopped onion + Butter 20 grams :
Fry and eat with breakfast.

Miscellaneous :
# Honey 1 pound + Cloves powder 25 grams :
Mix and take 1 TBS before breakfast.

# Honey 1 pound + Almond (non-salted) 50 grams + Mixed nuts 50 grams :
Mix them your way and use freely.

# Honey 1 pound + Celery juice 100 ml :
Gently heat to evaporate extra water and the honey regains its consistency.

# Celery bruised 50 grams + Butter 25 grams.You can add honey.

# Flax seeds 50 grams + honey 100 ml :The seeds are crushed then roasted and pasted with honey and some black pepper.

# Hummus 100 ml + Honey 100 grams :Hummus is soaked in some water over night, then filtered and the filtrate is mixed with honey and gently heated to evaporate excess water, and the honey regains its consistency. Eat the soaked Hummus.

# Hummus 50 grams - Water Cress juice 100 ml - Butter 20 grams - Mixed nuts (non-salted) 30 grams + Honey 50 grams + Cinnamon 5 g +Cloves 5 grams + Cardamon 5 grams.

1- Hummus is soaked in Cress juice, then after swollen, filtered and dried.
2- The dried bean is powdered and gently heated with butter.
3- Add the smashed nuts to this sauce and then pasted with honey.
4- The paste is gently heated and added to it 1 teaspoon of each of Cinnamon, powdered Cloves and Cardamon.
5- When used it can be mixed with warm water.

The Proof of My Honey proposals comes from Wisconsin University

On Sunday, May 6, 2007, ABC NEWS ONLINE published a story about a doctor at the university of Wisconsin who helped about half a dozen of her diabetic patients avoid amputations and has launched a controlled trial to promote the widespread use of honey therapy. The full story is here : http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200705/s1915395.htm

On September 3, 2006, I posted a blog titled " Diabetes Wounds, How to Use HONEY to Avoid Amputations" here :

How to Use Lemon and Honey to Cure Cough

Browse the inter-net for remedies to treat cough and you will find tens of them from all the world countries use Lemon or Orange , and a fewer number uses honey with or without Lemon.

Unfortunately, they use them the wrong way that made people prefer to use supplementary vitamin C for more convenience and with comparable results. Almost all people CUT the lemon and squeeze it to get its juice, yet cutting the Lemon peel may release enzymes recently found in the rind of many fruits, and these enzymes may change some constituents of the Lemon juice.

For hundreds of years, the best way to use Lemon to cure cough was to boil the INTACT Lemon in water before squeezing it, and no body knew why. In view of the recent findings, the cause may be that boiling the lemon kills enzymes present in its rind ( enzyme denaturation).

The procedure to prepare the best natural cure of cough (specially chesty cough) is as follows:
1- Fill a can with water and put a middle or big sized Lemon.
2- Leave the can to boil for about 10-15 minutes till the Lemon becomes soft but intact.
3- Take the Lemon and squeeze it to extract its juice.
4- Clear the juice or filter it.
5- Add the juice to 1/2 cup of honey ( or about 60 ml).
Some people - including me- add 30 ml ( 2 tablespoonful ) glycerin to the Lemon juice before adding honey.
Take 1 tablespoonful 3 times a day.

This is the best known natural cure of cough of people of any age through all times.

Diabetes wounds, How To use HONEY to Avoid Amputations.

How can a blister, a scratch or a wound in the skin of diabetes patients lead to % 50 of all cases of lower leg amputations?

The answer is in the nature of a diabetic skin and the stage at which treatment of the wound starts. Were that wound in the skin of a normal person, his blood would transport all the normal defense and healing elements required for healing the wound and repairing the skin, with the least medical care.

Nevertheless, in diabetes patients, the complications of diabetes involve thick blood, atherosclerosis and vessels fragility, all leading to poor blood supply of the leg specially the lower part inducing a dry THIN skin that is vulnerable to the least mechanical assault.
The other crucially important complication of diabetes that relates to wounds is diabetic neuropathy which affects nerves resulting in a reduced or abolished feeling in the feet, i.e. no pain or no signal to the patient who do not feel the injury.

The unnoticed scratch or wound in a diabetic leg gets bigger and deeper and affects the underlying tissues, such as muscles and tendons and becomes an opened gateway for infection which may reach the horrible stage of "gangrene" with which we may not avoid amputation.
When discovered, the wound receives intensive medical care that may reach skin substitution, in which a carrier material containing genetically engineered growth factors to encourage new tissue growth, and/or a synthetic form of natural proteins that help promote growth.

How can a diabetic avoid foot wounds:
There are many recommendations for diabetes patients to guard against wound formation and to discover them as soon as they are formed, like:
* Carefully dry your feet after bathing, specially between the toes.
* Don't walk around barefoot, not even indoors.
* Don't cut your nails yourself, have it done by a nurse.
* Avoid synthetic socks, wear cotton ones and wear the recommended shoes
* Avoid hyperglycemia and regulate your diet and treatment to adjust your blood Glucose.

The most important recommendations which represents the right clue to fight diabetes wounds and avoid prognosis to amputation stage are:
1- Ask your doctor or nurse to check your feet every visit.
2- INSPECT YOUR FEET DAILY FOR CUTS, WOUNDS, CALLUS OR INFECTED NAILS.
As this represents the starting point of extinguishing a small fire before it expands to burn the whole foot leading to its amputation.

Now, what if you apply a hydrating cream on your soles, feet and legs daily, instead of just inspecting them?. It is more safe and ensures a healthier skin that is not too fragile to break with the least external mechanical assaults.

Moreover, what if you repair any unnoticed cracks or scratches in your feet on daily basis? you want to know how?, it is simple :
Add Panthenol, Methionine, Honey, Propolis to your hydrating cream and this will endow your skin all the requirements for self repair.
Honey is used for wounds since very long times in the east, and now in England.
Propolis is clinically investigated in Europe, Japan and USA for use in wounds treatment.
Panthenol and metionine are nutritive materials that have a vital role in repairing the skin.
The Formula

Panthenol 2 g
Propolis 1 g
Hydrating cream 50 g

Part of this cream is admixed with equal part of honey and applied to the skin daily.

Acne No More

No more distressing cosmetic aspect for teenagers than is acne.
Acne is inflammatory lesions localized on the face, arms and upper part of the chest and back. Acne is emerged as a result of an abnormal response of the skin of male and female teens to normal levels of male sex hormones. The skin that is vulnerable to acne may have predisposing factors like, hypovitaminosis, anemia and inherited pattern of metabolism. Diet may play a role in exacerbation of acne, though not yet certain.

Acne starts through a phenomenon known as"Seborrhoea oleosa" which predisposes skin to acne, seborrhoeic eczema and alopecia. This phenomenon starts by increased secretion of oil by sebaceous glands in the hair follicles present in the skin. As a result, the skin becomes greasy and the oil fills the pores and may solidify to make black heads or "comedones". The oil may build up around the hair and the hair root and becomes infected with bacteria normally present in the skin. The bacteria break down the oil to irritant and inflammatory chemicals which causes redness, pus formation and pain in many acne patients. The pus can be spread deep in the skin either normally or through manipulation or squeezing the spot. This deep rooted inflammation and infection results in scarring and cyst formation frequently seen in acne patients.

Acne may be alleviated by high doses of female sex hormones, and worsened during pregnancy and pre-menstruation times due to hormonal imbalance.
Some dermatology scholars attribute a great part of the problem of acne to the impaired catabolic metabolism of carbohydrates and fats.

From our biochemical background, we know that the key element of catabolism of both carbohydrates and fats is Coenzyme A, which is formed by enzymatic coupling of the vitamin, Pantothenic acid and theamino acid Cysteine.
* Panthenol is better absorbed by the skin and is converted in the body into Pantothenic acid.
* Cysteine can produce some allergic reactions in some patients throughits free -SH group, yet it can be generated from methionine.

Bearing these notions in my mind, I tried solving the problem of acne through supplying the biochemical agents needed to accelerate catabolism of carbohydrates and fats in a local form to acne patients. The formulation revealed marvelous response in tens of acne cases.

Revising the ingredients of the formulation shows how far I put safety in the first position, and these are the ingredients:
* Panthenol(dexPanthenol-USP or d-Panthenol):
It is available in powderand liquid forms in different concentrations. Calculations are made so that the formula contains %2-4 d-Panthenol, e.g. if panthenol %50 is used, we should include what equals 4g panthenol, that means 2 teaspoonful of powder or liquid.
* L-Methionine: it is available in powder form in concentrations up to%99.5. Calculations are made to include %1-2 L-Methionine, that is 1 teaspoonful methionine %99.5.

The Formula
d-Panthenol 2-4%
Chamomile powder 1 %
Aloe vera powder 1 %
Bee honey 20 %
Propolis 2 %
Glycerin 70 %
To be applied once daily on the affected spots.

Another alternative is to add 1g L-Methionine to panthenol cream 50g, few drops Aloe vera liquid, few drops Chamomile oil and 1g Propolis.

Enjoy no more acne.

Honey Home Made Cosmetics

Honey is made by the worker bee which is a female. She seems to know exactly what the females need and how to formulate it.You can avoid petroleum derivatives present in synthetic cosmetics by utilizing the know-how of a great pharmacist (the bee), through simply mixing some natural ingredients to her ready-made product (honey). You will get high quality beauty-care products which really nourish your skin, the largest organ in your body. The first woman who used honey in her beauty care was Cleopatra of ancient Egypt.

Honey for Diabetes?

Diabetes patients suffer a reduced amount of Insulin secreted in response to any glucose introduced into their blood. Consequently, they have a restricted food amounts and varieties. The restrictions put on their food deprive them of many elements in their natural form.
Diabetes patients are banned from sugar, yet they can't abandon sweeteners. To replace sugar in their food and drinks, diabetes patients use synthetic sweeteners like Aspartam which is a synthetic chemical agent without any nutritive value, and sometimes it is combined with starch derivatives which releases glucose into the blood.

In many countries, diabetes patients use honey in place of sugar.
Apart from the debate about the compared absorbed amounts of glucose after ingesting sugar or honey which favours honey to avoid high concentration of glucose after eating sugar, I will stress 2 points in honey, these are:

1- CALORIE CONTENT:
Honey is 3 times as sweet as sugar, then if one needs 30 g of sugar, he may replace them with 10 g of honey. The needed amount of sugar (30g) produces 120 Kcal, while the equivalent honey amount(10 g) produces 32 Kcal.

2- MICRO-NUTRIENTS: These are subdivided into 2 categories:
l- Vitamins:
Some vitamins are highly needed by diabetes patients and are recommended by physicians to all diabetes patients, they are vitamin B1,B6, B12 ,C ,E and Biotin.
Honey - specially the unfiltered summer honey when the bee only uses nectar to make honey - is a good source of most of these vitamins, at least to supply a part of the RDA in natural form. There was vitaminized honey in the former USSR, where the bee was fed fruits and vegetables juice to produce this sort of honey, otherwise synthetic vitamins were added to honey to be used by diabetic patients.

ll- Trace elements:
* Chromium is a critical nutrient in diabetes. It is presented as a supplement for people with, diabetes, pre-diabetic glucose intolerance and women with diabetes associated with pregnancy.
* Manganese is present in diabetics in 1/2 its amount that is present in normal individuals.
* Magnesium is significantly lowered in diabetes patients.
* Vanadium given to diabetics proved to decrease their Insulin needs.
* Zinc deficiency has been suggested to play a role in the development of diabetes in humans. It is involved in virtually all aspects of Insulin metabolism, synthesis, secretion and utilization.
* Potassium supplementation yields improved Insulin sensitivity.

Honey contains all elements present in the soil, specially if it is not deprived of pollen grains.
If you cut 40-50 g of your carbohydrate intake daily and replace them with honey, you will make a great favour to your body.
